The first and second liaison meetings with nursing/midwifery sssociations on WO's medium-term progranule in nursing/midwifery in Europe, held in 1974 and 1976. recommended that regular meetings ol representatives of nursinga and other relevant organizations and the Region81 Officc bc held to ensure that matters of current and mutual interest were kept under review; such tneetinp would also stimulate action by the associarlons and could assist the Regional Office with programme planning in relation to the medium-term programe.
